This is a question we hear often in the commercial real estate business, along with “what is the landlord’s bottom line”. Unfortunately it is not an easy question to answer. There are so many variables and terms involved with a commercial lease that there is not usually a simple answer. Some of these variables include the financial strength of the tenant, length of lease, is there any improvement allowance or free rent, and what type of business?
